Here is my Mountain Colors Geek-Chic Vest. It is the first time I've done a neckband and been happy with it. It's in the Alpaca Blend (50/50 alpaca & wool), color Wilderness.
The woman with that fabulous entrelac shrug was not with me, but wasn't that beautiful? It was also Mountain Colors, but 100% wool. I have 3 Mountain Colors projects, and I just love their colors.
Thank you! It's not pattern per se--I used the Handy Book of Patterns for guidance. Being short, I always have to fiddle with a neckline and shorten the length, but the Handy books are excellent for that kind of thing, very detailed schematics. The K2P2 worked out very well--a good way to get shaping without having to do any. I only had 440 yds (1 skein) so I did it in the round to the underarms to save as much yardage as possible.
I did most of it that night in March when we had a tornado watch for about 14 hours.

I saw you at Stephanie's reading wearing that vest. It sure is a looker. I love mountain colors yarns.
That vest is wonderful, I remember it! Was the person with the entrelac shrug with you, or merely just ahead of you in line?
Anyway, glad you made it and glad you had fun!
Comments! :)

What a lovely vest! I was also at the Yarn Harlot's evening, & found your blog from Timothy's.
